1. Five to Eight Colors - TOHO Triangles Size 11
2. Four or Five Hole Slide Clasp
3. Fireline - 6 Lb.

Beading a Bezel
Instructor: Mabel Thomson



Material List

1. Focal object (cab or something with a flat side)
2. Coordinating Suede (enough for back and possibly front)
3. Coordinating seed beads ( can use a mixture of sizes)
  suggested sizes 11 seedbeds, three cuts, delicias 11, and a size 15
4. Coordinating Thread-- Nymo or Silamide-- (I use Prower Pro)
5. "Thread Heaven" silicon or thread wax (Silamide thread is pre-waxed)
6. Beading Needles, size 10 or 12, long or short (for heavy suede or leather,
  use a small Glover's Needle)
7. Scissors
8. Regular size and small Sir hole punches (these are used to punch
holes in the plastic.)
9. Semi-rigid plastic scraps (large enough for dimension of brooch)
Something like comes in men's shirt collars
10. Pin Back (either sew on or glue on type) (I use the glue on type from
  Rio Grande that can either be used as a pin or worn as a necklace.)
11. E6000 glue
12. Toothpicks or ice cream sticks (for spreading glue)
13. A Work Surface

Material List

1. Size 11 seed beads for main color
2. Size 11 seed beads in contrasting color for edging and toggle
3. Size 8 hex beads in contrasting color for edging and toggle
4. 2 size 3mm crystals for accents on toggle
5. Nymo or Fireline thread
6. Needle

Jean will bring a small inventory of seed beads, crystals and findings rather than prepare kits


Beading on Clothing

Material List

Any piece of clothing you wish to have a beady logo.
Medium weight interfacing, not the iron on (two times the size of your pattern).
Buckram may be used also. Found at Walmart in the Make you own Drapes Dept.
Waste Canvas, 14 count. Also found at Walmart in the Cross stitch Dept
Brand names:
"MCG Textiles" Tear Away waste canvas, "Charles Craft" cross stitch fabric
Needle and basting thread
Beading thread to match the garment you are beading on
Size 11/o round seed beads:
red, white, blue, light pink and green (if you are using my pattern)
Beading needle.
"Ok to Wash It" glue (fabric glue that you can wash)

I will have an ABC7 logo available for a pattern but you can use any Xstitch pattern you would like. Just adapt the bead colors to the pattern you have chosen.
Just to give you some ideas of what you might like to bead. I bought a ball cap at Deals discount store that already has the buckram in the back of the fabric. I have also done Tee shirts and sweat shirts.
